Complementary treatments
In addition to surgery, Mr. Eccles also advises on non-surgical treatments that can complement or enhance results. These may include anti-wrinkle injections, medical-grade skincare, and medical tattooing.
Botulinum toxin
Botulinum toxin is a well-established, injectable treatment that temporarily relaxes specific facial muscles. By preventing muscle contraction, it helps soften lines and wrinkles that form over time—such as frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet—especially in areas where muscle activity is closely linked to skin movement.
It has been safely used in aesthetic and medical treatments for over two decades. The procedure is quick and involves a few small injections using an ultra-fine needle, causing minimal discomfort. It is carried out in the clinic and does not require any downtime or hospital stay—most patients resume their normal activities immediately.
Common Indications for Botulinum Toxin Include:
Frown lines (glabellar lines)
Forehead lines
Crow’s feet (around the eyes)
Gummy smile
Downturned corners of the mouth
Neck bands (platysmal bands)
Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis – underarms, hands, feet)
Teeth grinding/clenching (bruxism)
Treatments are tailored to each individual’s facial anatomy and goals to create a natural, refreshed appearance.
Medical Tattooing
Medical tattooing, also known as micropigmentation or paramedical tattooing, can be an effective complementary treatment for patients with certain cosmetic or reconstructive needs. It involves implanting pigment into the skin to restore natural colour and camouflage irregularities caused by surgery, trauma, or medical conditions.
This technique is particularly valuable for:
Scar camouflage – helping blend pale or pigmented scars with surrounding skin
Restoring skin tone in areas of vitiligo or hypopigmentation
Nipple-areola complex reconstruction following breast surgery, such as mastectomy or breast reconstruction
Eyebrow enhancement for patients who have lost eyebrow hair due to scarring, alopecia or chemotherapy
Medical tattooing can significantly improve the appearance of affected areas and, in many cases, boost patient confidence and emotional well-being.
Highly skilled medical tattooists work within Mr. Eccles’s practice at the Consulting Suite and offer personalised treatment planning and expert care.
